From Hill to High Water™

Lowland-Rescue-lozenge-and-strapline

Today the Association of Lowland Search and Rescue announced the next step in its rebranding project: ALSAR will keep its name, but will use Lowland Rescue™ as its public branding. As an ALSAR member, and a Lowland Rescue team, we will use these on OxSAR’s publicity material too.

The term “Lowland Rescue” describes what we do, as well as helping people understand where we fit along side Mountain Rescue and Cave Rescue. The new strapline, From Hill to High Water™ covers the situations we operate in – lowland areas being any land without mountains & reflect that fact that many, if not all, lowland rescue teams work with DEFRA and local fire and rescue services to provide cover during floods.

The official launch is not until April, but teams across the UK will start using it from today.
