A busy Sunday

Yesterday was a busy day for OxSAR, with two separate searches for vulnerable missing people.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, OxSAR were asked to assist Thames Valley Police in the search for Anthony Radwell. In appalling weather conditions, OxSAR co-ordinated the 11 hour search of Whitchurch near Aylesbury and surrounding areas. We are grateful to search teams from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Midshires as well as dog teams from Berkshire and Buckinghamshire who assisted us throughout the day. We stood down after Mr Radwell was located safe and well.

Just a few hours later, OxSAR members were out again when Berkshire Search and Rescue asked for assistance. We sent a team of foot searchers to Windsor to assist with the search for David Wallis, who was also located safe and well shortly before midnight.
